International day to end violence against sex workers
15th December 2017
12:30- 14:00
Every year individuals and projects/organisations get together to think about those effected by violence when doing sex work and those that have been targeted for the purposes of sexual exploitation. This year all those involved will be meeting on Friday 15th December at the Church of Saint Thomas in Newcastle (next to the civic centre) to join a march with red umbrellas (umbrellas will be provided). The march will begin at 12.30pm, where everyone will head down Northumberland Street, passing the Monument and the ‘Hippy Green’ heading into Brunswick Church for the annual Church service to begin at 1pm.

We would like to invite all key partners who support victims of sexual exploitation and sexual violence, and if you have any clients who might find this event therapeutic and helpful when managing their own trauma.

This event is led by clients, where music, art work and stories are shared, candles will also be lit in memory of those we love and support.

To end the service refreshments and tea and coffee will be available.
